Good effort. I wrote a novel a while ago, but the first few agencies I sent it off to were a no, so I haven't gotten around to sending off to anyone again. Think I'll give it all another go.
Also, there's a nice little writing competition at Tuppence Magazine entertainment news. The prizes aren't massive, but you only need to do a short entertainment, culture, politics or fashion news, review or opinion piece to enter.

I believe, there is one particular news factor the media tends to use more over others. This factor would be the Human interest factor. If the story isn't interesting then the readers will more than likely not look foward to reading further more into the topic. Therefore, I believe that Human-interest stories is one particular news factor the media tends to use over others for the interest of readers getting to know other people and how they behave, to feel emotion and to have an opportunity to relate to their experiences.
Glad to be stirring up bugs. I look forward to their full flowering.
Shared life. Yes. Boy do we need that. Perhaps the most wonderfully mystical prayers of Paul's is that “Together with all the saints” we might grasp the love of Christ.
There are many reasons for a privatised Christianity though – our entertainment culture is a significant one. But only one. It's interesting that our evangelical definitions of spirituality were privatised before our cultural definitions of leisure were!

“Newsworthy” Stories to me are those that are like Timeliness, Conflict, Human Intersert,Helpfulness, Issues or problems in the community, and sometimes trends. Stories that show action being taking on the citizens behalf are news worthy. Also, when a major event happens such as, a high speed chase or barricaded gun man are highly newsworthy. Human interest are also important to show, because special achivements of those around us help send inspiration to others. But knowing your audience is always a great way to know what is newsworthy.
RT Why pay for life insurance when you get nothing in return? (tongue-in-cheek)
