Matthew, here's the deal: Do you believe Mary can read thoughts? Do you believe Mary can change hearts? Save from sin? deliver from peril? heal all diseases? Protect from disaster and accident? Or, leave Mary to the side, do you believe Augustine, Ambrose, Patrick, Gregory, Thomas, or any other of the departed saints can do these things? Hearing prayer is the least of the problems with this view — though it's pretty significant if you ask me — it's having the power to grant the requests that are made of James and Leo and Alphonsus, and etc., etc. — that is the issue.

Wow, what a great trip. I really enjoy the narratives and the incredible pictures. This is better than National Geographic.I am on vacation this week in the Carribbean island of Turks and Caicos at a Club Med. This is a relax on the beach week. French president Nicolas Sarkozy rushed to hospital after collapsing while jogging

Nicolas Sarkozy was rushed to a Paris hospital by air ambulance today after collapsing while jogging with his bodyguards in the grounds of the Palace of Versailles.
The 54-year-old was said to be feeling 'extremely unwell' and was gasping for breath.
Tests were being carried out at the Val de Grace military hospital, with Mr Sarkozy's 41-year-old wife Carla Bruni at his side.
