Went to Serre Che last year and can definitely recommend it. Something for everyone:fast pistesloads of off pistetree runsdecent parkgood nightlife if you look for itHaving done all 4 you mentioned over the last 3 years, I'd go for Serre Chevalier or Chamonix.
What’s really interesting now is that I can’t even pull up the data for this station.
Using this:
I don't think we're discussing this as a GISS station; the newspaper is what drew attention to this station.
It's a NOAA CO-OP station. Login as Guest then search for SANTA ANA
SANTA ANA FIRE STN is at 33.7442,-117.8667 and if on the GISS map you click on the south California coastline (just north of Mexican border) you can sort by location (click on “*”) to find stations near 33.7,-117.8. None of those have the Santa Ana Fire Station name.
REPLY: It is a COOP-A station, not a GISS or USHCN station. Different network, so GISS won't have it for the same reason they don't have RAWS or Agrimet stations. – Anthony
Keep something in mind here (Anthony correct if needed) — the CRN1/2 station analysis is a “good” thing, but only a start. It still doesn't take into account station moves which effects are buried in the records. A CRN1/2 may have been CRN5 in its previous location.
Until station move effects are quantified on each station record, it's still not the true, unbiased temp history — unless the station had no moves.
joining RT today was a mistake. the station's boss, simonyan, promised over and over that the station was going to be independent. when it became obvious to me that the station was pure propaganda, i resigned to protest the censorship. when i joined the station they weren't yet on the air—–i was naive and foolish to believe that the station was going to be fair.
j’arrive à serre-che le 23 aprem et repars le 25 matin (le 24 on a un CLM sur la grimpée du granon donc on reste sur place)
"As transportation systems around the Northeast restarted after Hurricane Irene, one major, frustrating exception remained: Amtrak trains between Philadelphia and New York were canceled indefinitely because of a flood that buried the Trenton station under several feet of water.
In a region where commuters depend on trains, New Jersey Transit and the Philadelphia transit system also could not get their trains into Trenton.
The flooding left commuters to work from home, business travelers to hope they could make their meetings and many people scrambling for seats on buses."
