Let’s get the good news out of the way first, well the weather in Serre Chevalier has gone back to lovely. The clouds that hung around for a few days after the last dump have all been blown away, by.

I was blown away, absolutely blown away, when I saw it. And the amazing thing is, this isn't all of it. Marie did a green man on the reverse for me, so I could test the stain and varnish without affecting the main picture.
It's of similar quality to the front – ie outstanding. What an amazing present to get – I'm still reeling, actually. How lucky am I?

I think that what we preach has to fundamentally be “good news.” Not bad news — good news. But the fact that you have to modify news with “good” means that there is bad news out there to be found.
I think the biggest fault of Osteen's preaching is that he appears to presuppose the nonexistence of bad news. Or pretend that bad news isn't out there.
I'm not one of those who hates on the guy & thinks that he is the enemy of all things theologically proper. I kind of like him myself. How could you not? He's so darn like-able!
But there has to be a thoughtful management of good news & bad news. The fact that our message is defined by the word “Gospel” should be a clue toward which way we lean. But the reality of life, and the admission of bad news in the whole counsel of God (e.g. Rom. 3:23), means that we do have to maintain some semblance of balance.
haha yea it will take a few days and you will get the hang of it
Beautiful photo, Nancy. I went down to Windsor on Saturday afternoon for some work-related errands and the sun was out while I visited with a friend, but I think you're right–most of our autumn colour has been washed/blown away this year. I hope to go to Acadia's botanical garden as soon as the sun finds us again and see what things look like there–maybe it's just that a lot of the maples are done.
I am blown away at how GOOD Stargate Atlantis is, it is brilliant. It has a taken so many great themes matrix/star trek/star wars even buffy and mixed it with just the right amount of seriousness and COMEDY. I am blown away by the team characters especially RODNEY/SHEPHERD the interaction of them in the scripting makes a brilliant combination. I will surely miss atlantis.

Think about Calendar Q3 as iPads first day at school. That could be scary fun to watch.
Think of Calendar Q4 as the Holidays, which is traditionally Apple's strongest quarter. I still remember the joy of opening a box (admittedly much bigger in those days) that held my first Mac in 1984.
I wonder what the new products yet to be announced might be….
The last few days were a bit unpleasant, but the next few days and months could be a lot of fun.
