Holiday Home Retailer Siblu Buys 10th Parc in France
Pessac, France (PRWEB) February 22, 2007
Leading holiday home retailer siblu has today completed its tenth holiday parc acquisition in France, increasing the range of destinations available to Britons seeking a low-cost second home abroad.
The purchase of Domaine de Dugny, a four-star holiday parc in Loire Valley, is siblu’s second deal of 2007. The group (formerly known as Haven Europe) owns 6,000 pitches at holiday parcs in France, more than any other UK company.
Siblu’s deal is the latest step in the company’s strategy of growth through acquisition following a ?100m refinance by Hermes Private Equity and Barclays Bank in December 2006.
Over 80% of holiday homes at eight siblu parcs are privately owned, leading the company to target new locations for expansion. Siblu has sold holiday homes in France for over 25 years.
Leslie Hurst, siblu CEO says: “There’s huge interest from British families who want to own a holiday home abroad. Holiday parcs are an enticing option because accommodation is ready-to-use, there are lots of facilities for all ages and holiday homes start from just ?20,000, compared to over ?100,000 for a comparable flat for four people.
“Loire Valley is a popular location for Britons seeking out fairytale France. The locals here are said to live well off the land! The rolling hills, excellent wines and wonderful food, especially the game, make it easy to see why.”
Domaine de Dugny sits in the picture-book setting of Loire Valley, a World Heritage Site dominated by 160 ch?teaux and the River Loire.
Mobile homes at the parc are framed by a pool complex, children’s adventure playground, restaurant and bar on one side, and an eye-catching fishing lake, overlooked by chalets and luxury mobile homes on the other.
Over the 4,000 families own a holiday home at a siblu parc in France. If you are interested in case studies or speaking to siblu owners to find out more about property sales and the holiday parc sector, please contact Daniel Johnson, 01442 293 209.
