Gigantica, the carp lake in France owned by Danny Fairbrass, boss of Korda. Gigantica is one of the top carp fishing lakes in France and is 35 acres in size and 3.5 hours from the Calais ferry. It contains a massive head of large carp… at least 600+ carp, including lake record huge carp, THE GIANT @ 72lbs 8oz and at least three 60′s, fifteen 50′s and forty 40′s… we have photo’s of over 50 different carp above 40 pounds. Hi there, yes its a grassie. They are very pretty fish that on these lakes don’t get caught very often.

Beautiful area, great looking fish and a good variety in the carp. Great stuff! I truly wish the states had lakes that catered more to dedicated anglers.

I remember you mate!! Yeah I am well, and just getting into a new session in Italy. Returning to France for the WCC in August/September at Madine and then off to Spain I reckon. I have done my fishing in France for a while. Although… I may pay a visit to a couple of lakes on the way down to Spain!! Be rude not too!

Hi Paul,
Not too sure about the cane rod, but I've a 2.5lb Carp rod that has a nice light action that I could use with 6-8lb line and still have a chance of a carp, but still enjoy the tench and crucians…
However I may switch my tench bashing attentions to the Croix Blanche lake as it has produced tench of 12lb & 10lb in recent weeks.
