- Children in Nature Program
- Registration Deadline : Participants need to reserve a spot at the Education Center (843-235-8755) by 4:00 pm Sunday prior to the program. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Meeting Place : Meet at the Education Center, then caravan to Oyster Landing.
- What to Bring : Please bring drinking water, sunscreen, and lace-up shoes that can get wet and muddy.

Spend Saturday afternoon at the action-packed opening of Armed & Dangerous: The Art of the Arsenal. Check out weapons and armor from across the centuries and continents. Marvel at the craftsmanship of swords, scimitars, and shields. Learn how indigenous animals the world over served as inspiration for the tools of war. Try on Samurai battle gear and knights’ helmets right next to the authentic artifacts, and hide yourself in plain sight with camouflage. During the opening party there will demonstrations of medieval and Roman weaponry; chances to wield replica weapons (under supervision); and live animals with unique offensive and defensive characteristics, including a live alligator, a hedgehog, and a skunk. This free training will review land conservation tools and techniques, and introduce local conservation organizations and agencies. Participation in the NCN is voluntary and self-directed.
